Resource Development Internship

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Assist in every aspect of the daily operations of the Club with a primary focus on Club operations and administration duties.

KEY ROLES:

  • Maintaining donor database (eTapestry) and sending Thank You letters.
  • Reconciliation and data entry for yearly fundraising events such as: Gala, Crab Feed, Ed Barker: Humanitarian Awards, A Look into the Future, etc.
  • Club representative at community events, expos, and presentations. (as needed)
  • Administer yearly stimulus grants and assist with other grant and resource development campaigns when needed.

ADDITIONAL ROLES:

  • Answering phones and providing program information.
  • Regular filing.
  • Fill in for program staff when needed.
  • Maintain contact with board members and treasure
  • Miscellaneous errands.
  • Help with fundraising events.
  • Correspond with vendors and suppliers.

 SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated with a four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three years work experience in an administrative role at a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization.
  • Grant writing experience strongly desired.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management abilities.
  • Valid State Drivers License.
Paid/Unpaid: Unpaid
Hours/Schedule: 15 to 20 Hours per week
